COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABLE WASTE

Community Artisanal Mining Initiative

Dedicated to transforming small- to medium-scale mining. We focus on elevating operational standards, promoting responsible practices, and fostering environmental awareness within artisan mining communities for a sustainable future.

Ethos Eco CAMI Facility

A SUSTAINABLE AND EFFICIENT CRITICAL METAL Extraction FROM MINE WASTE

Ethos Eco

PT Ethos Eco CAMI focuses on direct community engagement, local empowerment, and transparent benefit-sharing to foster trust and contribute to the sustainable development of small-scale mining communities.

Ethos Eco

Ethos Eco CAMI collaborates with small-scale mining corporations by supplying eco-friendly chemicals, providing housing, training, equipment, and water treatment systems. Extracted concentrates are brought to the facility for critical metal extraction, and all tailings are also responsibly managed at the facility to ensure environmental protection.

Ethos Eco

Ethos Eco CAMI is committed to establishing a new environmental standard in small-scale mining by replacing mercury and cyanide with eco-friendly chemicals and implementing responsible waste management for minimal ecological impact.

Ethos Eco

Ethos Eco CAMI employs advanced paste backfill, blending mine tailings with eco-friendly binders like geopolymers. This ensures ground stability, maximises resource recovery, and minimises environmental impact by keeping waste underground.

Ethos Eco

Ethos Eco CAMI aims for rational, orderly, and efficient utilisation of subsurface resources, ensuring mining activities and subsequent restoration efforts are conducted to the highest standards, integrating seamlessly into the local territory and society.

Ethos Eco

Ethos Eco CAMI progressive Restoration & Surface Minimisation: As sections of the small-scale mine are completed and backfilled, the affected areas are progressively restored, ensuring immediate environmental closure and minimising the overall surface footprint and impact.

RIRC

Rapid Ion Recovery Cell

RIRC is an innovative solid-state filtration system designed to capture and recover heavy metal ions from water with high efficiency and zero chemical waste. At the core of the RIRC is a high-surface-area carbon nanotube (CNT) filter engineered to bind metal ions like gold, lead, and copper through a controlled electrostatic process.

Key Benefits:

  • Captures valuable and toxic metals directly from solution

  • Fully regenerative with no need for acids or chemical stripping

  • High surface area CNT matrix for maximum ion adsorption

  • Compact, scalable, and environmentally sustainable design

RIRC sets a new standard for metal recovery technology—smart, clean, and built for the future.

Waste to Energy

“Why send non-recyclable plastic to landfills or incinerators when it can be transformed into a valuable liquid oil, which can then be further refined into liquid chemicals?”

Project ExamplesProject 1. 2016-20 Biomass Energy. “Why burn forestry waste or let agricultural waste rot to methane when it can help power the world.” This initiative focused on converting forestry and agricultural biomass material that would otherwise decompose into a modular biomass energy solution. Although the team secured planning approval for one of Europe’s largest biomass power stations, the project did not move forward due to shifts in U.K. energy policy.By deploying this approach in regions with abundant biomass, such as North America and West Africa where waste from logging is often burned or left to rot, releasing methane the solution helped create local jobs while reducing emissions. Developed through a U.S. U.K. collaboration, this engineering solution is now ready for global deployment in a modular format.
