Ethos Eco has partnered with its first mining community in Indonesia to establish a CAMI. Ethos Eco CAMI is a business initiative focused on ethical and sustainable community-based gold mining in Indonesia. Managed by PT Ethos Eco CAMI, established in Bali, the project collaborates with local mining communities to enhance operations, introduce clean processing technologies, and promote health, safety, and community welfare through reinvestment in housing, education, and infrastructure.
Ethos Eco is committed to sustainable investment in the mining community by developing:
- Housing: Constructing eco-friendly housing units for miners and their families.
- Schools & Education: Establishing primary and secondary schools to ensure access to quality education.
- Community Centres: Creating multipurpose facilities for training, skill development, and local business support.
- Healthcare: Providing medical services, insurance, and safety programs for miners and their families.
- Sanitation & Clean Water: Investing in clean water infrastructure and proper sanitation to improve public health.
The Ethos Eco team is dedicated to promoting health and safety. The Ethos Eco health and safety policy is designed to:
- Encourage the implementation of strict safety measures for mining operations.
- Provide protective gear and regular safety training for all workers.
- Conduct routine medical screenings for miners and staff.
- Establish emergency response teams and provide first aid training.
